Commissions

I welcome landscape, portrait and pet commissions.
When working on a commission I use oil paints on canvas or board using the traditional layered painting technique to achieve a realistic finish. A painting takes about two months to complete and it will need a further 4 to 6 weeks to dry fully before varnishing.

I work from photographs. The photograph could be from a favourite holiday or a special occasion. You may have a treasured photograph of a family member or of your children.

Prices vary according to the type of commission, number of people, size and detail but as a guide a head-and-shoulders portrait or a medium sized landscape start from €250.
